Cross Hares · Farm & Rural Pest Control

Farm & Rural Pest Control Services

Practical pest management for working countryside properties.

Rural sites face different pressures from domestic properties. Farm buildings, storage areas, agricultural land, forestry operations and estate grounds all have their own access, safety and operational considerations.

Pest management for rural and agricultural settings

We understand that pest concerns need to be considered alongside day-to-day operations on a working site. A plan that suits an agricultural holding may not suit a woodland, estate building or commercial property.

Our service begins with understanding:

  • The nature and location of the reported issue.
  • How the affected land or buildings are used.
  • Potential impacts on people, livestock, property or operations.
  • Site access, surrounding land and safety constraints.
  • Suitable management options, permissions and any need for follow-up work.

The aim is to recommend a practical scope of work rather than offer a one-size-fits-all treatment.

A non-chemical approach

Cross Hares does not use rodenticides or other chemical pest treatments. Our work focuses on assessment and appropriate non-chemical management within our actual services, including commercial shooting where lawful and suitable.

Not every pest concern can be resolved through the methods we offer. If your enquiry requires a different specialist treatment, we will discuss the scope of our service openly rather than imply that we provide chemical treatments.

One-off visits and ongoing pest management

Some concerns may be suitable for a defined visit or project. Larger properties and working estates may benefit from discussing regular attention, seasonal priorities or an ongoing arrangement.

We work with the landowner or designated site contact to agree what needs attention, the practical constraints and an appropriate schedule where continuing support is required.

Farm, estate and commercial properties

Cross Hares welcomes enquiries relating to:

  • Farms and agricultural land.
  • Rural buildings and operational premises.
  • Private estates and landowner-managed property.
  • Woodland and forestry settings.
  • Commercial properties with relevant rural or wildlife concerns.

We will confirm whether the particular issue falls within the services we provide before agreeing work.
